SyriaRemembered.org is an online community created to help Syrians from all backgrounds to publish and exchange information about their Syria and its people. What is unique about SyriaRemembered.org that it allows Syrians to upload pictures, stories, articles, links, Facebook pages, and videos for the any towns in Syria. By doing that we hope that we paint a unifying picture for all of Syria to Syrians and world.
Although Facebook has been great in spreading the news of what is happening in Syria, we believe that it also hurts Syrians by dispersing them around the internet without a unifying site that brings them together. We hope that SyriaRemembered.org shall help in that regard and to emphasize to Syrian that Syria is for all Syrians. It should be noted that this website isn’t unbiased website, and its administrators are against the Assad criminal regime. However, pro-Assad Syrians are welcome to participate and to present their case to the rest of Syrians. Therefore, any material which is deemed sectarian or promotes terrorism (from any side of the conflict) shall be deleted, and its author will be banned. We have zero tolerance for sectarianism and terrorism here.
Welcome aboard and please help us by promoting the site’s pages with the rest of the world.

If you look careful the icon is actually a representation of concentration camp rather than red dot or balloon.
Many thanks for taking the time to verify the contents by the way.
Salah Mansour (Abu al-Sous)
It is shown in red on your map, implying that it is still regime controlled.
The regime artillery base and the nearby border control for Dar'a, captured by the rebels last year, isn't shown.
(The border post is shown correctly on the wikipedia map.)
In the Aleppo city area, the industrial city to the north has been contested for many months, and the regime took Haylan to break the siege on the Aleppo central prison. They then emptied the prison of prisoners, moving political prisoners to one location, the others to another. That removes any strategic value of the prison. Rumours are that they will try to advance south-west to besiege rebel-held east Aleppo just south of the Sheikh Maqsoud area. (Which is held mostly by the kurds, not the main rebels.) In the unlikely event that they succeed in such a maneuver, a similar siege in Homs took the regime over 2 years with much greater control on outlying areas.

It would be better to say "FSA and Islamic brigades".
Interesting map.
It makes some important corrections of errors in the (in)famous Wikipedia map.
